I thought about tring to make a midi plugin for lightroom 2, So you can control all the develop settings with a midi controller. Someone has already done it and its called Knobroom. It is still alpha software but once you get it going it works well.
Knobroom isnt the only way to do this you can also use the method described here at DIYp. That method is only for windows so wasnt an option for me.
Knobroom once installed didnt work right away for me with my Behringer BCR2000. I left a comment on the knobroom website and Jarno the creator sent me an email with terminal commands to fix my issue. The issue was the server process that detects and replays the midi control commands wasnt starting for some reason. This is an issue that is known and is being worked on.
I have made a relativly easy to use work around for those with the same problem. Download the file and follow the included readme to install. Its a simple and crude fix, I am unsure how to package the shell script in the application as Im not a developer just a humble hacker.
I am building a Preset for Behringer BCR2000 will post it once its working, and the author of knobroom aproves it.
Knobroom is located at http://www.knobroom.com/
I have confirmed the cause of the issue with the server process. The plugin does not know how to handle folders with spaces in its name. My light room plugin folder was called "Light room pluggins" I changed it to "lightroompluggins" now it works fine, without the work around.
